Privacy policy

1. What we collect

When you finish a test we save one anonymous record: which test mode you took, how many items you answered correctly, your estimated IQ score, your performance on each item type, how long you took, and the time you finished. That record is used only to power the comparison statistics on your results page.

We do not ask you to create an account. We do not collect or store your name, email address, date of birth, phone number, location, or any other information that could identify you personally. A saved result cannot be traced back to an individual.

2. Your results link

Each completed test gets a unique results link. Anyone with that link can view the score page, so only share it if you want the score to be seen. The question-by-question review is stored only in your browser's session storage for the current tab and is never uploaded to our servers.

3. Advertising

Cerebral Assessment is free because advertising supports it. We use Google AdSense to show ads on the home page, alongside articles, before your score is revealed, and on the results page. Ad placements are always labelled.

Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads and to personalise the ads you see. This includes the use of the DoubleClick cookie and advertising identifiers to show ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of the use of third-party cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.

4. Cookies and local storage

The site itself does not set tracking cookies. Your in-progress answers are held in your browser's session storage while you take the test and are cleared when you close the tab. Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies as described above.

5. Analytics

We do not use Google Analytics or any other visitor analytics service. We only see aggregate, anonymous score data submitted at the end of a test.

6. Children's privacy

This site is intended for adults and teenagers aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data through this site, please contact us so we can remove it.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with the updated date at the top.

8. Not a medical service

Results are for general interest only and are not a clinical assessment. See the methodology page for what the score does and does not mean.
